Classes today all experienced a First Part (focusing on Identity) and a Second Part (focusing on Theme).
This is the Powerpoint that 2nd, 4th, and 6th saw yesterday, and 1st, 3rd, 5th, and 7th saw today.
Having studied Theme in literature today, and focused so squarely on Identity as a theme from PTI, students HW is the following:
HW:
- Thematic Evidence Collection (Identity)
- Record, in your English Composition Notebook, points of the book that address Identity.
- Include page numbers, as well as a shortened quote or brief description
- Example:
- A comparison of White and Indian students (57)
- "...and the tribe of..." (148) Junior lists the different tribes he belongs to in the cemetery with his family.
- "But...how many do we have to do of these?"
- Plural. Plural pieces of evidence.
