ODY Part Two Review

Big review day today for The Odyssey Part Two (and kind of the whole Odyssey in general.) After attendance and a brief stretch, Freshmen answered the Critical Thinking questions on page 1114:
They recorded answers in their composition notebooks, and were allowed to work with partners.

The last question I asked students was to come up with one-word answers to the prompt:
"What is this story about?" Students gave me several abstract nouns:
These are actually THEMES in the book.
Ha! Gotcha! You were talking about themes the whole time!

Students also helped me rebuild this ODY Timeline on my far whiteboard:

HW:

  • Quiz over ODY Part Two on Monday
