This is just to say that by the end of the day Thursday, 4/26, all Freshman classes should have read to the end of Act 1, Scene 5.

EOC2+3 // R&J I.ii-iii
Much of the morning was devoted to the EOC English I Subparts 2 and 3 tests for the Freshmen. It wasn't until 4th period that classes got back onto regular schedule.
In those classes, we continued reading R&J. 5th and 7th periods did a particularly nice thing: they recorded their live reading to share with students who missed class because of the test this morning.

Sonnets // Beginning R&J
Lot of writing on the whiteboard today:
On the left you can see the names of the speaking roles in Act I, scene i, as well as color-coded columns of students who volunteered to read that part.
In the middle, the notes about what makes a sonnet and sonnet.
On the right, the EOC schedule for Freshmen.
Tomorrow, in the morning, Freshmen will take Subparts 2+3 of the English EOC. Please report to the same teacher's classroom in which you took Subpart 1.

Sorry guys! I was out Friday, off to Clarksville helping to chaperone the Latin scholars to the TJCL Convention and Competition at Austin Peay's beautiful campus.
