I should have said "themes", "morals", or "messages". Here's an example of one of the lessons from Odysseus' adventures: After blinding and escaping from the Cyclops, Odysseus taunts the cyclops twice and reveals his true identity. Polyphemus then prays to his father to curse their journey home. Lesson/Moral/Message Here: To much pride will bring suffering.
