- Powerpoint Explaining MLA Format (from Pearson 9th grade textbook)
- It covers in-text (parenthetical) citations, as well as Works Cited information.
- Remember: you're citing WEB sources, so focus on those slides
Students' first task today was to take a handful of notes on MLA formatting for source citation, using the Powerpoint linked above.
Thusly armed against plagiarism, classes ventured forth into the Internet, to hunt down the original web addresses of the sources that were provided yesterday. Their next task was to create an MLA citation for each.
Following the citation of the 2 web sources, in appropriate MLA format, students were invited to begin drafting their response to the Synthesis Question (available in Tuesday's post.)
HW:
- Continue Drafting Synthesis Task (Will have time in class Thursday as well)
- Writing Workshop: Thursday 3:15p-4:15p (3NW)
- Final Drafts Due @ Beginning of Class Friday, 1/13
- Typed in MLA format, printed, with Works Cited Attached.
