  1. You said the summer reading part would be on here but I can't find it?

    1. Wow, good eye, Jane! You're right, I had changed the filename on Drive after a couple of additions this morning. The slide should appear in your browser now.

On a further note, given your interest in the upcoming curricular focus on the summer reading, I hope that you and your fellow Freshmen are ready to ponder the thematic ties that cross between both books. Consider: both books are set against the background of a war. What effects does a war-time environment have on a populace? How does war impact the lives of children? In what ways does war (or the history of it) acknowledge and respect, or deny and ignore, contributions from overlooked portions of that populace?

Thanks for your comment! Enjoy the end of your summer vacation!

    2. Oh and one more thing! I just saw your last name. Do you know a person named Kate P. Delworth? If you do, please tell her I said hello, and send my best wishes for a great school year.
