Curb-Side Pickup Instructions

May 21 and 22 – MLK Curb side pick-up for students 


MNPS has identified May 21 and 22 as the days students and parents can drop off and retrieve school related items. Please know these are the only days identified by MNPS for curb side pick-up. There will not be any additional days for curb side pick-up. 

We are looking forward to seeing you from a distance. 

Refunds will not be a part of curb side pick-up. When I have more information on refunds, I will send an email with specifics. 

Parents will drive through stations during curb side pick-up from 9 am until 3 pm on May 21 and 22.

Students and parents must remain in their vehicles. Students and parents must wear masks when coming to retrieve/give items from/to MLK. Students and parents will not be allowed in the building for any reason.

Please have the student’s name written on an 8 ½ x 11 sheet of paper. Please hold up the student’s name as you approach an adult so they can retrieve the item you need.

Curb Side Area/Stations

Watkin’s Park Parking lot (Soccer, track, and softball uniform drop off and pick-up)
  • Middle school boys soccer uniform drop off
  • High school boys soccer uniform pick-up and BSN orders distribution
  • Boys and girls track uniforms and BSN order distribution
  • Middle school girls track uniforms
  • Softball uniforms 

Students/parents will progress through stations. The stations will begin on the corner of 17th Avenue and Jo Johnston Avenue and move toward Dr. D. B. Todd Blvd (toward Head Magnet). 

Station 1 (corner of 17th Avenue North and Jo Johnston Avenue)
  • Medication pick-up – parents have received phone calls concerning medication pick-up
  • Compulsory Attendance (driver’s license form) pick-up
  • Turn in elevator keys given to students

Station 2 (outside of the auditorium)
  • Textbooks, library books, and laptop drop off
  • Technology - Laptop Return Options for Families
  • Laptops may be returned to home school - May 21-22
  • Laptops, chargers, and laptop cases will be turned in 
  • Schools will issue a turn-in receipt

Station 3 (outside of the College Center)

7th, 8th, and 9th grade parents will pick up the contents of their child’s locker curb side outside of the College Center

Station 4 (outside of the library)
  • Yearbook distribution for students who purchased yearbooks
  • Yearbooks for sale
  • Pass back senior baby pictures to seniors
  • Choir uniform drop off

Band and Strings Instrument Curb Side Pick-Up (Behind the Annex)

Students/parents will drive to the back of the Annex located on the corner of Jo Johnston Avenue and Dr. D. B Todd Blvd. Please unlock your passenger’s back door to receive your instrument. For student identification purposes, please have the student’s name written on an 8 ½ x 11 sheet of paper. Please hold up the student’s name as you approach an adult. Your instrument will be retrieved for you.

Mr. Womack and Mrs. Nicholson will also retrieve items left in band lockers.
