Synthesis: Question and Sources

Using the documents provided, today's task was to: Process the question, then read and annotate both sources.

Tomorrow, students should bring their answer to the synthesis question (see link 1).

We will review MLA format for citing web sources, and then begin drafting the Synthesis Task in class.

Intro to Synthesis

First thing students did today was complete a 15-minute session of Membean studying. It was simple, straightforward, and provided me an example to announce the Membean schedule for this session (see post from Sunday).

Membean Dates & Times

Good Afternoon! I hope everyone has been safe and warm this weekend!

A handful of students have e-mailed me requesting more specific information about this Membean session, which began when school reconvened.

Membean Session 07:

1/2/17 - 1/15/17

Tentative Quiz Date: Tuesday 1/17

I say "tentative" because during Friday's snowy shenanigans, I did not confer with Mrs. Syes to see if the dates/times/quiz for this Membean session should be adjusted. I'll follow up with her next week, but for now...

Today was pretty messed up due to snow falling in the morning hours. School was dismissed early, after students got together in the auditorium for information and meteorologically appropriate songs.
